FWISD Barnett Shale EXPO Energy Contest
This Poster Contest is open to all FWISD 9th grade students who are interested in learning about the natural gas boom in the Fort Worth area and win some great prizes. These students are invited to research and prepare a poster presentation on their choice of the topics listed below.
Four Semi-finalists and one winner will be selected from each High School. Each will receive a prize and all will be able to attend the Barnett Shale EXPO on March 28-29 at the Fort Worth Convention Center.
Each winner will make a 3-minute presentation on their poster to a distinguished panel of judges at the Expo. Who will decide the grand prize winner, who will be announced at the luncheon.
The research poster presentation is a college level teaching technique that was piloted at the 2007 Barnett Shale EXPO.
