The Perryman study is the first aggregate evaluation of the energy industry's economic impact in the 14-county Barnett Shale region. The study examines the overall economic impact of Barnett Shale activity by county, provides a perspective on the significance of energy activity to the overall economy and evaluates the long-term effects of the Barnett Shale on the region based upon existing leases and other relative information. From jobs, taxes, retail sales to sectoral benefits by industry sector, the study will reveal how much the energy industry has impacted the communities of the Barnett Shale.
